My name is Danilo and I am living near Zurich in Switzerland. I fell in love with music when I was about three years old. At that age I would try to play the piano on the stone-grid of our living-room-table or conduct the musicians who played on the radio...
In the 80's I had some fun being a singer and keyboarder in a local band and as well enjoyed myself organizing Disco-Parties and playing the latest records together with my friends. The styles varied from Italo-Disco to NDW, Funk, Soul, New Wave, Avantgarde and early Techno. The 90's brought a lot of fun with House, Jungle, Techno, Trance, Progressive and Goa and many beautiful raves and parties. For nearly two decades, I have been working as a professional sound engineer, producing the sound for corporate movies, documentaries and audio-books, and as well for commercials for radio, TV and cinema.
My musical activity as DanSonic entered the public arena in 2011, when I was invited to do a remix for „Blizzard“, a tune by Swiss DJ and producer F-Act, that was released on the „Limeroads“ record label, which is owned by „Loco-Volver“. A further highlight was the invitation to do a live-mix @ „Shake“ a popular Swiss radio show hosted by „MentalX“ on „Radio Virus“.
In 2014 my first official production „Summer Of Love“ was released on my own label „Artificial Acoustical Ambience Records“ with remixes by „F-Act“, „Loco-Volver“ and „Weisses Licht“.
In the meantime I have a bit more than 20 releases on my label and also had the pleasure to contribute various remixes for Aad Mouthaan, Acala, Allan Zax, AntoN KuRT, Around Us, Christian Maestre, DJ 19, DoSe, F-Act, KellAr, Massivan, Mayford Fox, Pantelis Aspridis, Psychowsky, Rikk Earth, Sean Rise, Serge Gee, Tom Dawson, Ton van Empel, Sota S and Synthetic Phoenix aka Elgone with releases on 19 Box Recordings, Art Nouveau Records, Jetlag Digital, LuPS Records, Modest Electronica and OLD SQL Recordings.
